The last winery on the JPC Trail and the furthest winery on our list is Crown & Thieves. This prohibition style vineyard is a really fun experience. Walking into the castle style building you will open large doors and transport back in time.

a sign hanging on a wire fence directing guest to Crown and Thieves

Inside Crown & Thieves you’ll find large vaulted ceilings with stunning artwork and old chandeliers hanging. Tall library style bookshelves filled with their delicious Kelowna wine line the walls. You can either do your tasting at the bartop inside or find a small table on the patio outside.

If you are hungry and looking for food, Crown & Thieves restaurant Angel Share is an outdoor restaurant with BC’s first outdoor licensed kitchen. They serve food between 11:30 am and 10 pm with the best time to go being between 3-5 when they’re doing a happy hour. Their menu changes daily so you can try something new every time you visit.

No trip here is complete without visiting the Crown & Thieves speakeasy. Walking to the back of the tasting room towards the bathrooms you will find a staircase to the basement. Walking down the stairs you will see a sign that says speakeasy so you will know where you are. As soon as you get downstairs you will feel like you have been transported into a 1920s underground club.

Take a seat on the sofa and order an old fashioned and take in the dark black ceilings. The Crown & Thieves speakeasy has a stage that often has live music and other events happening.

Bonus: if you’re visiting Crown & Thieves, hop next door to Truck 59 Cidery. Another member of the JPC Trail, Truck 59 Cidery sits in the same area so is easy to get to. Grab a blanket and cuddle up by an outdoor fire soaking in beautiful Okanagan views while drinking delicious cider.
